Megan Racing Rear Camber Arms for the 98-04 Mercedes SLK Class

Part Number:MB-0310

Megan Racing suspension arms are designed to correct the suspension geometry created when a vehicle’s ride height has been changed from stock. Keeping proper alignment on your vehicle is very important. When a vehicle is lowered the geometry of the suspension is changed affecting the surface contact your tires are able to make with the road. For maximum handling, you want as much surface contact as possible, as well as the ability to change these settings to meet any road condition. Megan Racing suspension arms are designed to do just that. Give you the adjustment capability you need to correct your alignment and give you maximum control over the handling of your vehicle. Whether you are chasing track times or street cred, Megan Racing has you covered.

  • Allows adjustments outside of the OE range of adjustment to provide proper alignment
  • Prevents excessive tire wear
  • Replaces worn Factory rubber bushings for a more consistent geometry and better handling

Fantastic!

I bought these Megan Racing adjustable camber arms for my Chrysler Crossfire. The car is lowered on H&R lowering springs (29679). Mercedes cars using the same or similar camber setup to the r170 (SLKxxx) all have the same issue of excessively wearing the rear tires because the factory arms and eccentrics doesn’t enough adjustment to correct for wear over time as they age. If you still have the same arms that were installed on the car from factory chances are your camber is out of spec and cannot be adjusted, even if the car isn’t lowered.

These Megan arms are absolutely fantastic, they do a great job of easily correcting that camber issue while also being built very strong and being crafted very well over all. The car handles noticeably better and doesn’t come in contact with the sway bar at all.

The only con I see with these arms is that they also adjust the toe as well as camber when the camber is being adjusted. But this issue isn’t because themselves, the issue lies in the 5 point multilink suspension design; and even then, the amount adjustment it makes to the camber vs toe is minor. If I were to put it to a rough ratio it would look something like 4°:1° Megan Racing also sales adjustable toe arms so I will purchase those as well and right review on those as well ! I’m sure they’ll be just as great.

P.s.

For the DIY guys like myself, the best tips I can give if you are to of course (1) spray penetrating lubricant like PB blaster on the 2 bolts holding the camber arms in place. (2) remove the brake caliper and rotor and bend the dust shield towards you to give you more clearance to access the triple square bolt (3) if you also end up like me and don’t have the right triple square or just don’t have one in general be careful and use a T55 (4) 3/8” & 1/4” ratchet with an adjustable length grip to gain leverage, this one isn’t needed but helpful (5) you’ll need an adjustable wrench or the correct size open end wrench to remove the bolt closest to the dust shield (6) have a buddy, some of these bolts especially if they haven’t been loosened ever will be a little stubborn on their way out (7) don’t rush slow and steady wins the race, rush and you’ll either strip something or break a tool, good luck !
