The addition of aftermarket coilover shocks for the S550 Mustang have exposed a weak point in the Ford's OEM shock mount. People all over the country have started to run into issues breaking the factory rear shock mount. Whether it was drag racing or road racing the loads of the very stiff shocks, customers were having all sorts of issues.
That's when the team at Coilover Depot got together to design a modular solution. The Coilover Depot Mustang billet shock mount is made from CNC machined 6061 aluminum. The mounts are designed to replace the weak cast factory mounts. Unlike the factory mounts that have a rubber bushing that binds and will deteriorate over time on lowered cars or cars with aggressive shock settings, Coilover Depot billet Mustang shock mounts feature a stainless steel spherical bearing for optimum performance and control. We also designed this kit to provide 1/4" more clearance for wider rear tires!
The CoiloverDepot mustang billet rear shock mount was designed to work on BC Racing & Megan Racing coilovers.
Fits BC coilovers with the rear disc damping adjusters ( will not work on the newer rear shocks with the adjuster on the top of the shock shaft)
Fits Megan Racing Street Series and EZII coilovers that have the rear damping adjuster disc.
