Worn factory mounts can be typically diagnosed by a creaking noises from the rear end over speed humps or driveways. If this is the case the upper strut mounts have worn and need replacing.
CCS rear upper mounts are a replacement mount suggested on the older W body cars when installing coilovers. Replacing these when installing coilovers allow you to install the mount on the coilover and set preload while outside of the car. Another benefit is bypassing the need to rent a spring compressor and disassemble the rear shock assembly to reuse your old mounts.

The struts work quite well as of right now and perform great. The only complaint I had was when I get my parts they gave me the wrong stabilizer bar links so I had to wait to buy those separately.
