BC Racing DS Type Coilovers for the 03-07 Cadillac CTS

Part Number:ZN-03-DS

BC Racing Coilovers DS Series is perfect for street driving and occasional road course duty. With easily accessible adjustment knobs for fine tuning your compression/rebound and separately adjustable ride height, having a performance coilover system couldn’t be any easier. You choose how low or high you want your vehicle, no preset ride height here, and patented concave lower locking ring keeps it locked in. Ride height is adjusted by raising and lowering the shock body; this maintains the same ideal damper stroke at ALL ride height levels for the best ride under any conditions. The pillowball mount option provides the most available feedback possible from your suspension and to sharpen your steering response. All this while providing a strong, attractive looking coilover system.

The DS series BC Racing Coilovers use a large 44mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximize oil capacity. As the damper unit operates the oil contained within heats up. The viscosity of oil changes as it's temperature varies which can lead to changes in the damping characteristics of the unit.

BC Racing Coilovers use a very high quality oil with their coilovers but go that extra mile to maximise performance and build their BR range with a large 53mm diameter damper body. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil which in turn reduces the peak temperature and significantly improves damper performance.

Designed to Maximize Driver Feel

BC Racing Coilovers new proprietary digressive piston design offers increased damping force at low piston velocities while maintaining a linear damper feel at higher piston velocities. One of the greatest advantages of increased low-speed damping force relates to what the driver feels, e.g roll, pitch, dive, and quick weight transitions on technical road courses. This is the key difference between the BC Racing BR series and DS series, but makes the biggest difference where it counts!

Key Features include:

Perfect suspension mods!

I bought these for my 2005 Cadillac CTS-V to help me on the track. They are super tight on the road, lending to a slightly rough ride, but it's refreshing being able to feel the road. My lateral g-force gauge never broke 1.0g either left nor right in my entire 12+ year history owning the car, and after many track events. After my last race, my readings were 1.16g left and 1.08 right. So, with no other modifications, I was able to pick up at least 016g and 0.08g respectively and that shaves time off the track. I was able to take the corners much faster than I had before due to this suspension. Regular street driving is rather nice too, as I said, it's very tight now. I only lowered the front about 1" and maybe 1.25" in the rear, but you can slam it a few more inches if you like (but I can't guarantee the tires won't rub). All in all, I am very satisfied with these racing coil-overs. Also please note, that only the front are true coil-overs, the rear are separate spring and strut, but they work nonetheless!
